A grizzled veteran of countless wars, the warrior known as the Dragon Knight is the ultimate soldier on the battlefield. Ever since he was a youth, he has trained in the art of battle. Abandoned by his family, he survived by becoming a first becoming a hired thug, and later a mercenary. He found that he possessed a natural talent for killing that was amplified by his constant training. He learned that experience is the best teacher, and so he sold his talents to anyone that would pay his fee. Eventually he acquired so much wealth that founded his own mercenary company. Training his troops himself, the company (known simply as the Dragons) became the most respected and feared military force in the region. In one particularly successful war, he was gifted a large area of land as payment. He decided to found his own small country, and has ruled there ever since. It has become known to be a land of wealth, prosperity, law, and a home to a most powerful army.
The Dragon Knight has obtained many things in his years as a mercenary. Besides his vast wealth and power, he has come into the possession of two powerful magic items: His sword and armor. His sword was made for him personally by the great Archmage as a payment for helping him defeat a demonic invasion. Made from a the same fallen meteorite that was used in the great wizard's own staff, the sword has many potent properties. It can slice through most metals almost effortlessly, it can enable the wielder to strike blows with the force of a hill giant, and it grants him the ability to use a very limited amount of magic. His armor was found early in his career and its insignia is how he got his name. Found in the horde of a mighty green dragon, he took it as his share of the loot without knowing its full potential. The magically crafted armor bestows the wearer the powers of a dragon! In times of need, his skin can harden into scales, he can grow wings and claws, and he has the ability to shoot flame from his mouth. These abilities have served him well on the battlefield, although he only uses them when absolutely necessary as they leave him exhausted for days.
The Dragon Knight is content to rule his small kingdom in peace. However whenever the need arises, he doesn't hesitate to sound the call to arms and lay waste to anything that threatens his land or allies.
