MocOlympics round 2 - Jens Ådne Rydland vs Connor Simpson - Collectible Minifigure Mecha
When the Mecha Corps realized that their mecha drivers were getting lazy and fat they decided to try an unorthodox approach to dealing with the problem and hired a civilian fitness instructor to give the soldiers some excersise. Unfortunately they didn't quite get what they anticipated..
About this creation

"Collectible Minifigure Mecha - Choose any one of the released collectible minifigures and build a mecha that they might pilot"

My entry for Round 2 of the 2011 MocOlympics, a mecha for the Series 5 Fitness instructor (which I had to run out and buy today to have her ready for the entry :-P). Like my esteemed opponent's entry this was my very first mecha build, which proved a nice change of pace. The absurdity of a fitness instructor using a mecha was just too tempting to let go, and it also gave me a nice opportunity to build a MOC that's mostly pink. :-D

Lots of joints in the model allows for a variety of poses

To help with the fitness exercises the built-in megamaxi loudspeakers are useful.

And between her legs you might find even sweeter music playing..

Haha, this is awesome! I love the posability, colour scheme and greebling, and comment on the tape deck placement is a very sly touch. I guess the next logical step is a "non-leathal weapons array for rhythmic complience", maybe a St. Vitus's dance ray? (hopefully not actually shooting Streptococci at people, ew!) xD

brilliant stuff. I think she is the LAST of the minifigs I would have considered building a mech for, yet you've done a great job and a hilarious idea. Well done on advancing and good luck!

Freakin' hilarious! Like it does not take great agility for a mech to walk in the first place. Now it's doing aerobics. Kick arse!

You have defeated me. I think we had a fun category, and were quite well matched for this round, neither of us being mech builders, but in the end you earned your victory. Nice work and good luck in the next round, it's been an honor to compete with you!

Jens, you got my vote in this round. Nice colour design to underline your humorous idea and enough poseability for a fitness mech. Great reminder of the 80s.
