My topic is to build a Micro Utopia. my opponent is Knobby Plastic. My city is completly self dependent, it has solar panels giving energy for electricity for the buildings, monorail and helicopter. A pump gets water from the river and a geosphere to produce and harvest food. I set the time and place of the Utopia at 2435, the world is decaying, soon civilization will die. but some of the world's leading officials created this test city, a perfect ton for an experiment to see if the whole world could still survive. This is that city. the Beacon of New Life within chaos. it's name; New Athens named after the ideal Greek city-state.
About this creation
Knobby Plastic my worthy opponent
His Entry

A view of the eastern river gate.

A view of the geosphere where my Utopia gets it's food source.

Here is a view of the western river gate.

The tip of the main office building can be seen for miles as beacon of new life.

the helicopter on it's landing pad is the vehicle that transports food to the city and even outside to the surrounding area.

To get water my Utopia draws water from the nearby river. The water is purified as it passes through the gates.

To get energy the city has long solar panels near it's energy building. These provide a constant flow of energy which powers the turbines creating electricity.

My favorite piece, the monorail. i built the city around it. This train provides transportation to the citizens across the river when they work.

A cool build, however your opponent gets my vote. Yours could have done with either more buildings, or smaller base.

A very nice micro-city with some great details, the monorail is a real winner. Choosing large photos is much more convenient for the judges so they don't have to click on each one and your pictures could use better lighting. That being said, your build wins the day and gets my vote.~H

Both entries are well-built and strikingly similar in many ways, providing what a 'typical' utopian metropolis might provide. Nice description of the different areas of the city. It would be nice to see bigger pictures (and it would be a good idea if you are to move on in later rounds). Nonetheless, you got my vote.
