Customized M14 Warthog LRV
The M14 LRV Warthog
About this creation
This is the M14 Warthog. I have put in at least 3 hours trying to come up with the best design possible of a Warthog with the available resources I have and this is what it turned out to be. Yes, I know it isn't as nice or accurate as Justin Stebbins' Warthog(he's the lego god!) or anyone else's Warthog, but I tried my best on this. I know for a fact Thomas Cooper will heavily criticize it with negativity, but I really am getting tired of it. So I just don't care about his comments anymore. Please judge this creation based on form, not color codedness(I know I painted some of the pieces. I didn't have many green pieces, so this is what I had to do). And I know that the tires could be bigger and are out of proportion compared to the body of the Warthog, but I'd have to say I'm proud of what I made after the 3 hour trial of coming up with the form for it. The turret is off too, but I'm still trying to work through it.

Ok, now that the intro is done with, here's a little back story on the M14 LRV Warthog:
Returning from their misssion on Osirius 8, Captain Tomac and his crew retreated back to the Omega Bunker on Aridan. There, they were immediately deployed again to rescue Admiral Davis from a siege of Covenant troops west of their position. Tomac and Wallace rallied up their squad and approached the decimated town of the Atlus Colony. From there, Wallace fortified an abandoned garage with the necessary equipment to modify a civilian hog into a mean-fighting machine.
The M14 LRV is what Wallace ended up with. Although inferior to it's older brother, the M12 LRV Warthog, what it lacks in firepower is upgraded through it's quad shox system and enhanced fusion engines. This allows the Warthog to be quicker than it's older model, allowing for run-and-gun tactics if necessary for lightning fast rescue missions.

Unlike mine, it is all green. I like the custom upgrades.

That was cool! My only complaint is that the front jutts out a bit to much, and the slant at the end could be done away with, but that aside, I recognize how hard that must have been and don't get me wrong, that is really cool!!

I like it, but i don't like the fact that you painted the pieces green. it just doesn't seem right to paint any LEGO parts other than when making custom minifigs. I would prefer it in grey.

i read everything you said about it and ive decided that you did a good job, you put a lot of effort into it and your still working on it. My advice is to do what i did and use gray instead of green that way you can have some good pieces to work with. what brian said is true, theres no such thing as a perfect warthog, theres always room for improvement. I have plenty of experience with that lol, sometimes its frustrating.

Pretty good for your first attempt at a Warthog. At least it holds three mini-figs...some Hog pics I have seen don't have mini-figs in them because they don't fit! My advice is to keep tweaking...I don't think any Warthog is ever truly done. Find something you want to improve, take a good hard look at a picture of a Warthog, find some pieces that look like they might work and go from there. A five for effort but I'm giving it a four because I want to see version 2! Be patient and keep up the good work.

I guess its ok, you need a lot of work. Try to lean from the squarish shape, and the front comes out a little too much. That said your improving!

The 'Hog is a bit too high, and too blocky, but otherwise good.
