When little Harry went to the playground his mom said:
'Be careful don't get dirty, Harry!'
So he went playing and build a sandcastle.
Just as he decided to give the slide a try he noticed a boy starting to destroy his castle.
He ignored the fact that he has landed in the mud and pulled out his trusty sling.
Oh dear! Thank you John it was a close call. And thanks to the judges. I am looking forward to the next phase of 10 days with less sleep and winding myself in agony while searching for ideas. Some call it - round 4, yay!
Congrats - you've got my vote. While you guys were neck and neck with build complexity and technique, it was the combo of humor, color, and presentation that helped sway my vote. In particular, the splashes of color helped to make this MOC more visually interesting, while your opponent stuck with a lot of greys. If he had gone a bit farther with color variety, we might be seeing a different outcome. But, nevertheless, you sir are the winner. See ya next round, and nice work!
I'm glad I'm not going up against either you or John M. with this category! I love your playground vig, and the figs, posing, and backstory are spot on. Great shots, too. Good luck...I'm glad I'm not one of your judges, either. :)
This is wonderful. I love it that you went with a kid's perspective of the quote. That sling shot is ingeniously designed. And the playground is perfect. Well, everything is PERFECT!!! Truly... best of luck! :)
