Commercial Shipping Terminal - Godwins Hollow
This is the first posting from our Lego City layout. My daughter and I have been working on it for a few years now but until recently it was in a constant state of upheaval due to not having a permanent home. We've recently solved that problem so hopefully this will be the first post of many as we get things settled into their new home. For the professionals out there please forgive the amateur photography - this is a first attempt. We have some proper equipment on the way over so our next uploads should be a bit more focused. The commercial shipping terminal is a conglomerate of a few different official sets and some of our own work. We would, of course, appreciate your comments and suggestions - keeping in mind that this is still a work in progress awaiting more base plates and other parts. Thanks in advance.
About this creation

So we've made some progress on the ship yard offices. The building contractors finally got the roofing and HVAC finished. We've also managed to fill out the office and work spaces and we've even thrown in a break area outside for employees.

Here you can see the completed office complex. The crow's nest up top and two operations centers - one for each berth at the port. The new break area is next to the small pond and the employees have been talking about adding a small pier to fish off of.

The ground floor offices. Admin area, security counter, waiting areas, and a small stock room.

Admin area. You've got something arriving at the port then this is where your paperwork will be. Looks like there may be a customer coming in now.

Looks like a bike courier is waiting for a pick up at the security desk.

Customers parking and making their way inside the main office.

The employee's break area out back. You can grab a snack or a paper and just watch the waves or catch up with a co-worker.

The top floor offices which include two operational offices, two executive offices, a conference room, and a small snack area with access to the roof.

Here's one of the harbor masters steering in traffic for Berth A on the north side of the complex.

This is the main control room for Berth B. This center handles all harbor traffic and vehicle movement inside the terminal.

This guy must be shipping fuel based on the smile on his face.

Another shipping company exec walking down the hallway...

Seems he's a bit early for the meeting...

Here you can see the office spaces in relation to the larger terminal areas.

This is a bit wider shot showing more of the incoming traffic as well as some of the smaller personal boats.

Looking over a cargo ship on approach to Berth A...

The south side of the terminal has a container ship docked in Berth B...

Another cargo ship on approach...

The view from the crow's nest. You can see Main Street East in the distance along with The Godwin's Hollow Space Center which is still under construction. Most of everything in the distance is still under construction at the moment so keep an eye out for new spots in Godwin's Hollow as they pop up.

Looking over and past an incoming ship you see the heavy equipment and other boats at the port.

From overhead you can see the larger container ship being loaded as well as some of the other vehicles at the docks...

To the right you see another grain shipment being off loaded under the watchful eyes of the commander center personnel...

Containers being loaded...

The backside of the grain terminal...

Another look down into the main container yard...

Personnel in the crow's nest keeping traffic around the port moving safely...

Seems the roofing contractor is taking a bit of break to try and catch some dinner...

Moving pallets of heavy equipment around the yard...

Thanks for your comments. I'm hoping to have our beach and public launch area up soon as a small addition to the rest of the port area.
