Light Artillery Walker "Thunderer"
Second steampunk creation and second walker, along with first gimp attempt! :) Thanks to Areesta C for posting those tutorials. Now, check out my Moc!
About this creation

The clash of metal and steam was accompanied by the silhouettes of men and walkers on the front, no additional support from behind, which is why the Thunderer was engineered. It was purposed with firing light support until the climax of battle, where it would either defend the line while living troops scampered past, or advancing, crushing all opposition.

In Addition to this new concept, the new ingenious light-bulb from America was blown up and implemented into the walker, giving the advantage of fighting at night. Although the walker couldn't fire artillery at night, it could go up close and launch devastating rounds almost point blank.

The round fired from the barrel produces a tremendous "KOOM' when fired, and thus was named thunderer.

The chassis was designed differently from the normal sets developed for the frontal assault walkers due to the massive amount of stress placed onto the legs and torso when the cannon was fired. This new chassis is deeply implemented into the form, as it holds the cannon, the ammunition drum, steam shaft, floodlight, and legs together.

The chassis also supports the jerking that moving the walker entails. The legs have to main joints, one that attaches them to the main motor and the one that moves the feet segment of the legs.

And the final shot of the Thunderer and the Mosquito.

Again, Thanks to Areesta C for posting those gimp tutorials, I'll definitely be using gimp again soon.

Quoting Alex Mac I like the small cog on the back. This little guy has some good solidity.

Very cute ! Nevertheless, I'm not sure about the light: it looks to me like it would get shot very easily at night...
