Here is the result of a lazy Sunday afternoon. I've been wanting to make a Camper Pick-up truck since seeing MOCs by Scott Bertaut and Benjamin Heining.
My one isn't a copy of any real life truck but I got hints of inspiration from the Ford F series pick up trucks. This build goes through all the scales: the cab roof and windscreen is 4 wide, the front end is 5 wide, the truck body is 6 wide and the camper is 7 wide. I had a lot of fun building it and I'm really pleased with the finished product.
Hope you enjoy looking at it.
A handy barbecue stored on the roof rack.
Time for bed. There's an alarm clock at the head of the bed and nice flat screen TV on the wall.
His wife is still up. She's sat in the nice living area. There's a lamp above the table and cupboards on either side of her. On the wall is a frying pan and a mug. Also behind her is a hook holding a crash helmet.
The pick-up with the camper removed. Although the photo doesn't show it, the motorbike fits nicely in the back.
The tailgate folds down flat to accommodate the camper body.
Hi :) I love how the camper fits together - very clever. You would never quess that was going to happen. The pick looks very cool on its own too. I am very jealous of your 'loft room'. I need to tidy my lego up after evry building session :( Thanks for your comments on my stuff.
An Excellent camper, it has a lot of great details. The only negative thing I have to say is how cramped it is, but that is really just because it's 7 wide, and for 7 wide, it has much more detail then I would have thought. I really like the truck it is on too; the rims look sweet, nice trailer for the motor bike too. You really need a final picture for this of the couple enjoying that barbecue! :) Great work, 1,000 better then that LEGO city one, that thing is a joke.
