Confronting Vader 4 : The Failings of Two
About this creation
In a remote region of the Imperial-controlled planet of Dantooine a small fight has broken out between the garrisoned forces and the renegade Clones of the 77th Airbourne. Lead by Jedi General Harash Soru, the Clones are aiming to destroy a communications array that is allowing the Imperials to broadcast important information to their fleet. Once the array has been destroyed, the Rebel Alliance can begin its first full scale invasion.

Master Soru stands on the edge of the cliff, easily deflecting the blaster bolts of the Imperial Stormtroopers.

Fighting beside him are former Clone Commander 'Player' and ARC Trooper 'Scurry'.

The fight lasts mere moments, the Stormtroopers proving little match for the Clone War hardened warriors.

Master Soru: "Good work, both of you. We need to meet up with Heavy and the others now."
Player: "General, its him."

The heavy breathing filled Master Soru's ears and he turned around to see Darth Vader stood on the opposite cliff.

Master Soru: "Get back to the others. This fight is mine alone."
Player: "Yes General."

Vader's scarlet blade leaps into life and he begins to step out on to the ancient bridge.
Vader: "Master Soru, I have tracked you from Mustafar to Alderaan. This ends today."
Master Soru: "No Vader, it will not. The FOrce has different destinies for us both. We are meant for bigger things than this."
Vader: "You are a fool Master Soru. You hide behind the lies of the Jedi yet you yourself learned of the Dark Side."
Master Soru: "A wise man can study all paths Vader. Only a fool falls prey to the easy one."

Before Vader could respond Master Soru thrust his hands forward and set a ripple of energy along the bridge, throwing both Vader and the rotten wood into the air.

Vader tumbles backwards, battered but not beaten.

Now Master Soru activates his blue blade.
Master Soru: "You are a Master of nothing Vader."

The two Jedi now leap towards each other, their blades crackling as they meet.

Vader however, lands first and uses the Force to pull Naster Soru away from the ledge.

As Master Soru falls he reaches out and grabs the rope restrains of the bridge.
Vader: "I have you now."

Master Soru chuckled.
Master Soru: "You think you see everything Vader. Yet you fail to truly look."
With a grunt the Jedi Master tossed his lightsaber at the cliff edge upon which Vader stood.

With a crumble the cliff fell away, dropping into the swirling current and taking Vader with it. Master Soru deftly uses the Force to backflip away to the safety of the cliff.
Master Soru: "Until next time."
