We Day is a get together of about 16,000 people (or at least it was when I went) who go to see motivational speakers, bands, and celebrities who all talk about something that needs to be changed in the world. From issues like global warming to building schools in Kenya, they talked about anything. It was an amazing experience. There were people like Al Gore, Hedley, Paul Martin, (Prime Minister of Canada for all the americans out there) Mia Farrow, Spencer West, Rick Hansen, and many many more.
Now since I don't have the speeches memorized, I have links to their speeches throughout the MOC.
I've neen having some problems with the links, so just copy paste them on the top of your screen I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
About this creation
"Hi everyone, and welcome to We Day! We Day is an amazing event. It's a once in a lifetime chance to get inspired and find out how you, just one person, can change the world. "
"There were many speakers, and many artists performing, but I chose three so that we won't be here all day. And our first artist, to warm up the croud, is Shawn Desman performing The We Day Dance!"
"Thanks so much Shawn, that was great! And I know, it's hard to do music online, but if you want to hear what he sang, and see the dance, click on the link. "
Next up, I would like to invite to the stage, Rick Hansen!
"Wow Rick, Thanks for coming today!" "It's my pleasure to be here Reece."
"And now, I would like to invite one of my personal friends, a man who never lest anything stand in his way, Spencer West!"
"Hey Spencer, How's it going?" "Great! Even better now that I'm here with all of you."
'Wow, what an amazing speech Spencer. That's all for We Day on MOCpages, but We Day never ends. Because It's not a day, it's a movement. A movement that will change the world for the better."
I tried to get tha abstract look the stage had.
On the lower part of the stage Out of pure desperation I used minifigure displays to S.N.O.T it. I feel ashamed of myself. :)
I hope you enjoyed this MOC as much as I did. If you ever get the chance, you MUST go to We Day. It's very inspirational, and will get you thinking about what you can do to change the world.
We Day is the movement of our time.
Hi Reece! My name's Tatiana and I'm also on the We Day team, I see Dave already commented on this. But I just wanted to let you know how amazing this is and how much everyone on our team and in the organization enjoyed this!
I was actually wondering if you'd be interested in creating something else Free The Children related. Spencer West is going to be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro very soon, and we'd actually love a lego depiction of this to share with his supporters. I'd love to give you more info - you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org , Thanks Reece!
