My entry for Torrent Company's First Contest. My opponent is the worthy E.B., who posted a spectacular entry. Enjoy. This is posted on LEGO.com in the Star Wars gallery.
About this creation
The Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, more commonly known as the Jedi starfighter due to its extensive use by Jedi, was an interceptor commissioned just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY.
The Astromech droid dome can swivel, as shown by the swivel plate in the picture.
Small, cooing vents under the flaps. Stickers from the 2010 Slave 1 kit.
For playability, the cockpit opens.
Inside of the cockpit. It's simple, but I like it.
Again for playability, dual lightsaber holders.
Cool, angle view of the ship.
Back end detail. I'm quite proud of my use of slope pieces. The pictures don't really do this thing justice.
Back wing detail. I love the subtle sticker use from Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter.
The jedi who pilots the ship (name needed).
Galvis: I have new toys! Bye guys!
Fourth Wall: This was an easy build for me. I unfortunately didn't have the time to build it when my opponent uploaded his, but thankfully the group admins were kind enough to give me a one week extension. I think I did great on this.
Constructive criticism and comments are appreciated! KP out!
Very nice design! The colors were very well chosen, and it has a clean look. The small turrets at the front side are cool! Also, the added astromech gives him (like the fin at the back) the look of a jedi starfighter (I guess you meant it this way?). The fig inside is great! Good luck in the contest!
Nice frame, but i think there is a better area for cockpit. The big dark blue piece caught my eye and i invisioned your Starfighter without the current cockpit but instead at the Dark blue pireces and its more fluid. As for the Jedi's name how about "Dass Bruder" Pronounced Dass-Brew-der. Have "Dass Bruder" positioned leaning backwards to make it so you dont have to create a box cockpit(View my UE-1 Revolution to see what I mean.
Overall its not too bad. I like the techniques for the rear fin and the colors. It looks alot like the plo k o o n set though. The back end of the windscreen is open too so as soon as he gets into space, he will get sucked out and die! Not too bad though...
