Part of the invading alien forces enemies of the original CyberAgents
About this creation
[we have witnessed the destruction of our units. We have witnessed victory after victory for the human vermin]
[if victory is to be ours we must learn from these setbacks.]
[indeed. which is why it has been proposed to mimic their design.]
[fight the ugly humanoid machines, with humanoids of our own?]
Named the Ogre by the CyberAgency, the type "4" invader appeared shortly after the earliest victories against the invaders.
Designed to face the CyberAgent knights on "equal" footing, it features arms and legs, however in typical invader fashion, that is where any similarity ends.
As always, the type 4 features a storage tank for harvested water, or other precious resources such as oil or chemicals, depriving Earth of these substances. It also features the same clamping jaws of the previous "ant" type.
In additon it features a weapons limb with a combination of beam weapons, more than capable of taking out tanks and jets at will.
I've returned to the very beginning. The Invaders V CyberAgents. I've had the idea of a more humanoid alien "mech" since I began this series, but never seemed to get round to it. A few ideas I had didn't really pan out, so the result isn't quite what I planned.
I've actually lost track of which actual number Invader I'd reached as several designs aren't uploaded here or on Brickshelf. I seem to remember a saucer type, and some more octopus like units, but I can't seem to find the LDD files so I must have deleted them.
The leg design is taken in part from the Atlas variant I did a short while back, the arm design is very similar to the leg design actually.
Comments, suggestions and ratings welcome as usual.
Quoting Rabid Goldfish
Very nice alien. I definitely like the inhuman look of it. ^Blub^
thanks, I toyed with the idea of making something, that was basically a cyberagent clone with some alien parts, but I wanted it to say "alien" and not just "white villainous CyberAgent" I think it's ok, certainly not my best design but perhaps one of the most distinctive.
Quoting ariklego ...The Director!
can't say it's the prettiest design ever, but that's based on my own human standards. :P nice work, good techniques.
one of the traits I wanted to keep with the invaders is that they do not conform to human values of ergonomics, aesthetics or even logic. The only common trait to all of them however is the water tank, which I like to place central to the design.
