It incorporates some of the suggestions made for improvements to the prototype, so I should give thanks to everyone who commented. THANKS!
I'll add some story stuff later, but I just wanted to say a few things about the construction process.
The frame actually got less complex the further down the development process I went. The original had limbs with as many as 5 joints, this makes posing a doddle, but the results were a little gangling and bare. As I started to dress them, I realised I was actually restricting many of the limbs, so to give myself limbs of the same general proportions I lost two or more joints on each arm and leg. Means the range of movement is less, but the overall shape looks more solid.
Getting him to hold the two handed sword was a real pain. The "join" tool on LDD4.1 doesn't always work right, in the end I had to partly dismantle the arms, place them on the sword and then connect the joints back to the main body. once one arm was joined, but experimenting with the joints, I could then line up the shoulder with the bicep and get the join tool to connect them up. Took about 15 minutes of trial and error.
That's dedication for you.
I'm going to add some more weapons to vary the functions of this design. He is after all intended as the nemesis for the PPM CyberAgent designs, many of which are armed with guns. "Who brings a knife to a gun fight".
One aspect I'm still unhappy with is the colours. The original was mostly white, but as I've gone away from that to mostly greys. the result looks a little cluttered to me. I may go back to a whole white variant and see how that looks.
As always any suggestions for improvements are welcome, but try to be constructive (and realistic, this is LDD after all). Just PLEASE don't ask me to make it with actual bricks, I find that really annoying.
