No not David Beckham’s long lost brother, but a festive set from Lego.
About this creation
Available only from the Winter Lego catalogue. I saw this in the latest catalogue and thought to my self wow 40 shiny golden bricks for only Ł3.99 - what a bargain. So I frantically phoned the Lego hotline. “Hello” I said “Is this Mr Lego?” “Yes” said a slightly apprehensive voice on the other end of the phone. “Shiny shiny golden baubles please” Using my wife’s Credit Card I managed to buy two sets, One for me and one for my good friend Tomaso. Shhhh! Don’t tell him (or her) it’s supposed to be a surprise.
It transpired that there are only 14 gold pieces, the majority are dark tan and trans yellow. A Misdescription? A Misrepresentation? A Little Miss Naughty? oh no sorry that’s the Mr Men.
Any who this is what Frank and I made from the 40 bricks.
The available pieces - 14 gold 2x2 bricks, 14 dark tan 2x2 bricks and 12 trans yellow 2x1 bricks

I hope to add more creations to this but that is it for now.
Some nice work there, conragts to Frank as well! :) My fav is Rudolf and the baby lion, both looks stunning in these colours.
And thank you very much for your interest in my absence, it really made my day.
Thing is I got a second job and we are expecting our second baby in March, so things got spiced up recently. I simply can't find the time for Lego. :-(
Creative usage! Like a Creator set! Fantastic! I like all models, but my favourite is the lion and it's mouth. Well, the news of my dark ages aren't true. The reason of the temporary silence was the school. Did you get Lego for Christmas?
Hello Joe. We had a splendid Christmas here, great fun, good food, and just a sip of wine ;-) Christmas brought me 8070, so me happy!! I hope you and your family had a great Christmas also?
To answer your proposal from the Alan Mann colors : I think it is better to build in yellow instead of gold. I did search on bricklink, and found there are some 6000 1*2 tiles in gold to buy, but no 1*1 tiles, so nothing we can use, I think. Much greetings!
Haha excellent! Love what you've done with these shiny and not so shiny pieces. The reindeer is my fave! You let the secret slip lol They look awesome hanging on the bottle of Christmas spirit you gave me! Thanks my very good Friend. I hope you Amy and the boys like your pressies and have a fandabbydosy day!
