Truck 1 is a Pierce tiller ladder. It was inspired by tillers in Eugene, Seattle and Sacramento. It uses lots of SNOT (Studs Not On Top) technques. The design is almost zero-studs. The design is original work.
I am from Columbus, Ohio and we have the Tiller Ladder Truck also and Ladder one here is nicknamed Top Gun. You really did a awesome job on this rig and I love all the detail and compartments you have on Ladder truck.
Awesome!!! I think that Seattle, Portland, and other cities in the Northwest utilize dual-axle tractors because of the mountainous terrain they need to cover, along with a lot of rain that cause roads to become slick. More wheels = better braking... Please correct me if I'm wrong...

when i first saw this i thought of Seattle since there the only place i know that has a tiller with that fifth wheel set on the tractor. You did a great job capturing the look man! and welcome back!
Thanks! That was the inspiration rig. There's also a tandem axle tiller in Eugene and Sacramento. Any experts know why the extra weight?
