On April 21-22 2007 the Northern Illinois Train Club participated in a Show For the Benifit of the Geneva History Center. Founded in 1943 the weekend became the busiest weekend they've ever seen! 2000 guest came to see the layout! It was a first for NILTC in that besides the ususal suspects several members built models representing Geneva's history just for this show.

This Dutch windmill was constructed in Elmhurst IL in the mid-19th century. Lapsing into disrepair it was purchased by Colonel Fabyan in 1914. He moved to his estate along the banks of the Fox River where it was restored. It can be visited today at what is now Fabyan Forest Preserve. The model had motorized blades that added to it's realistic detail.
Thanks for visiting! please stop by the Brickshelf pages and see all the display details! theres two pages of photos, newspaper articals, movie clips and more! For more information please visit NILTC.ORG
