An Average Day in Our LEGO City (Part 2)
Our LEGO city brought to life... again!
About this creation
Once again we cleared my (now 9 year old) daughter's desk, laid down some base plates and started building our city. We had more time, more bricks and better planning. Here are the results, we hope you like it!

An overview of the city from the left...

...and the right!

A happy citizen is riding his bike. It looks like Princess Leia has to make a phone call again!

The back row, from left to right, starting with the yellow office building. This building (like many others) is modular, the front can be removed to see what's inside. On the patio people are having lunch, while others are busy working.

The top floor (covered in gold) belongs to Mr. Moneybags, CEO of Yellow Office Inc. "I don't have time for books or computers, somebody has to make the decisions around here. I'm a simple man with simple pleasures, so after all my hard decision-making, I like to take a relaxing money bath."

The lobby of the office building contains a cafeteria.

If you need flowers, you came to the right place: the town's flower shop.

Sick minifigs go to the Red And White Hospital. There's even a bed in every room!

Every artist's destination is the Paint shop, where our motto is "We don't need no MAERSK BLUE!" 30 fabulous colours should be enough for everyone.

The inside of the paint shop.

The last building of the back row is the orange toy store. It's the best place in town for kids!

The middle row starts with the somewhat controversial depiction of the city's hero, St. Atue the Grey. Some citizens say he looks like a deranged robot, others chalk it up the "artistic creativity".

"Here comes the bride, her bum is so wide!" A happy couple has just tied the knot, about to get into their black car.

The dog park is busy. Looks like two dogs like to play soccer. The benches have engraving that reads "Be Determined To Use Every Color, Even Sand Red!"

The front street: a pink house and a purple house.

There's still a bunny looking out the window!

The inside of the lime green house. There's kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. On the wall, you can see the abstract painting titled "Blue House With Red Roof And A Pine Tree", who knows what that could mean.

Finally, the farm. The crop is looking nice this year: rutabagas (the pigs love it!), wheat, corn and sunflowers. The chicken is nicknamed JD.

Here are some snapshots of the work in progress. This was a lot of fun to build, hopefully we can do it again next year!

I liked how neat the pictures came. I also liked how alive the city was and the average life.
