If you listen hard enough, you can hear the distinctive bubbling whir of the Jetsons' family car.
About this creation
If, like me, you were a small child in the late 70's and early 80's, you may also remember how impossibly far-off the 21st century sounded. It was the realm of science fiction. When I was around five, I fully believed that by the time I was in my thirties I could be living in a Lunar or Martian colony and whizzing around in my flying car.
Well, I'm in my thirties now and I know better. WE WILL NEVER HAVE FLYING CARS!!! Humans have demonstrated beyond a doubt their inability to drive properly in two dimensions, without adding a third. If you are still young enough to hold out hope of someday owning a flying car, my advice to you is to give up that dream now and build one in Lego. It's as close as you'll ever come.
Sorry you had to hear it like this, kids. Tune in next week at this time, when I'll be debunking the tooth fairy.

And before you ask, no, the cockpit does not open. I'm a cheat and a fraud.

Bob now wishes he'd sprung for the optional sound system -- the standard one only plays the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" and Donovan's "Mellow Yellow" over and over and over.

Maybe I do have the pieces to build it in other colors -- red, white, black, shades of blay, maybe even green. But I'm not going to.

Does it look more like a fish or a bug? You decide.

Actually, I think planes are pretty dang close to flying cars. Nice MOC BTW.

No, he means quark as in sub-sub-atomic particles. Otherwise known as the sub atomic particle that makes up a sub atomic particle. Anyways, this is nice. Small, easy to bully, and it'll crush like a tin can! Ah yes: the modern car.

nice, simple build. one question though.... quark? like the annoying little Ferengi from Star Trek: DS9? i hope not...that would be a horrible namesake, though it would be destined for profit! (if anybody who reads this knows what I'm talking about, give yourself a cookie)

I can't decide if it's a fish or a bug either. Let's just call it a whatchamakalits. Or a Quark, which is what it is. If you're tired of my insane nonesense, I'll just end with "Nice Creation".

The rant's almost as good as the moc! You know, I saw a show where they made a flying car... but "fuel economy" is not what I think of when I hear "eight gas turbines".
