Two models of Oslo City Hall, inspired by the LEGO® Architecture series.
About this creation
The models were made for a LEGO® Architecture contest at LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, built partly in the car (I wasn't driving) and on the boat (wasn't driving that one either) on the way to the event. It was worth the trouble as they happened to win the 1st prize :)
While your building is a good representation, there are a few mistakes. The color scheme seems to be more gray and mauve, than tan and mauve. Also, there are two stripes on the side separating the first and second, as well as the second and third floors. One of these you built, the other you did not. On the towers there are five floors before you have the vertically stretched windows, not three. Finally, The windows are mere holes in the sides, with no framing or interior preparation. Excepting for these utmost of picky details, your design is incredibly close t reality, and shows a striking resemblance to the original architectural meaning. 4/5.
You, yourself know you are a Lego builder far beyond what words could describe BUT what takes you an extra mile is showing an actual picture of the real place this MOC was inspired (based) on!
Then doing a mini version as well puts you way over the top!
