About this creation
Introducing the How to Train your Dragon Timberjack! I really like this sharp class dragon. It made a tiny appearance in the dragon manual in the film, and then the Book of Dragons short film showed a much longer video of it.

I tried once again to make a scene for this dragon. The Timberjack has razor sharp wings that can slice through trees. This tiny scene shows him doing just that.

I tried to make it look like the wood was splintering as the dragon flew into it.

Here is the scene without the dragon.

The Timberjack has no legs, white eyes, and huge wings. I did my best to make brick built wings that were stable and looked good. This guy does have some swooshability!

I hate to show my hand in this, but there it is. He is a very slender dragon. I like the browns and oranges in his wings. The dragon actually has two limbs to support each wing. That is why it has claws on two different parts.

Here is his tail. I tried a new technique on his neck and tail. I think Stormbringer has done this on some of his newer dragons. I used one of those long black tube pieces and then slid bricks onto it. I think it worked fairly well. I was having a lot of trouble keeping his tail thin enough before I did this.

Here is his head. As I have said they have white eyes (which is odd for an httyd dragon). I wanted to give him teeth, but in the end I decided he looked better without them. These dragons have relatively thin heads, so that was hard to capture.

Since these dragons have no feet, they spend a lot of time in the air. When on the ground they crawl on their wings and slither. Because they have such massive wings they cannot do certain actions other dragons find easy (such as scratching their own back).

Well, this is one dragon who can certainly be trained. The moc was a ton of fun to build. I hope you enjoy it. I am thinking about doing a moc with a dragon battle story. I think it would be cool to show off my dragons' flexibity. I might allow a vote on which dragon will win (but I am pretty sure toothless will :D ).

You should try to make a typhoomerang and a sky serpent

Oh yeah, If I don't have the right parts to build a night fury, I'll probably make the "whispering death".

I made the head of Toothless already, I just have to make the body, legs and tail. What do you think of it?

I think this one is fantastic - surely your best yet. I'm not familiar with it from the book/short film but you've managed to capture a really dynamic quality and the photos capture some great angles and poses. Maybe ease off the flash in your photos and try to use some natural light if you can, it'll show off your creations a bit better (not that I can talk, most of my photos look like they were taken at midnight!). Anyway, great little beastie and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Nice work, I like the effect of it shredding through that tree.

The dragon is pretty good, probably your best. I won't criticise too much, the body seems kind of realistic from below (work on the back) and the wings are cool, just like the head. I've never seen the movie, so I can't add anything about reference. My favourite part was splintering of the tree. Although basic, it looked very realistic on some pictures and I coudl still see the effect well without the dragon. Good job!
