A minifig-scaled light mech based off of LegoRobo's work.
About this creation
Seeking to replace the aging Vanguard-series hardsuit, the Kraznovian Republic issued a solicitation for bids on a new light mech class in June 1150 PH (Post-Hyperdrive). After facing the Cerulean Dirk mecha in the field to disastrous effect, the solicitation specified a reverse-engineering of the Dirk's design and weapons systems. The winning bidder was Loring-Rossovich Industries, and in March 1152 the Bushwhacker light mech passed builder's trials and was certified for general deployment.
Featuring modular attachment points for a variety of weapons systems, the Bushwhacker's primary battlefield roles are for reconnaissance-in-force, fire support for large-scale infantry maneuver, and as a screen for heavier mecha teams.
The Bushwhacker is also reverse-compatible with Vanguard manipulator arms, which further permits the unit to be used as a heavy engineering mech in Kraznovian Naval Construction Battalions.
Note: I completely forgot to photograph the back of the model, with the cool jump-jets and microfusion plant and whatnot. I might take pictures of them later, but I've taken most of my MOCs to my desk at work, so you'll just have to take my word for how cool the look is. Also, credit where due: I based this off of LegoRobo's sweet mini-mech design. You can check it out here.
5/5! Another excellent build. I'm digging the guns in the 3rd pic, very cool. Do you order all those red bricks, or do you just buy sets that have some?
I don't know how these designs are not getting noticed. You have interesting designs and a great eye for color. I like this one as well. The cannons on his arms are pretty mean-looking. Keep posting.
