Britannic Darkstar (Re-imagined)
A re-imagined Britannic Darkstar...
About this creation
The Britannic Darkstar has the designation of a destroyer, despite it's powerful armament. It's a destroyer due to it's size of 21 metres (63 studs) in length. However, this somewhat lowly designation isn't enough to stop this ship from being possibly the most legendary vessel ever to be constructed by the Mason Shipyards. The Fleet Admiral (also the CEO of the Mason Shipyards [me]) himself now uses it after the unfortunate destruction of the Jovian.

Armament: Forward Heavy plasma torpedo launcher, Heavy plasma turret, 3 medium pulse laser cannons, 8 medium inferno missiles, 1 heavy inferno missile, 4 point defense lasers
Shields: Military Grade 6 Particle shields
Armour: 6-inch Titanium-Aluminium hull, 3mm tungsten lining
Warp Speed: 18/20
Cruising speed: 1150kmh
Other: Atmospheric flight
Short/Long range sensors
Warp gate generator
6 crew

There are 5 engines total, providing the 1150kmh maximum speed.

The most notable piece of equipment on the ship is undoubtedly the newly developed Particle Shield generator. Electromagnetic shields will soon be phased out in favour of the new particle shields, which have proven to be far more effective.
Actually, tell a lie. The most notable piece of equipment has got to be the warp gate generator. It was discovered that the near-useless particle beams were actually able to latch onto and open up wormholes, provided that at least 3 beams were being fired. The wormholes could then be directed to the destination, thus providing a much faster way to travel, but not replacing standard Neutrino warp drives.

This re-imagined version still has the forward heavy plasma torpedo launcher of the original, just aesthetically improved. The Sonic Imploder cannons on the original are (for the moment) impossible to create a mechanism for, so the heavy plasma turret replaced that.

Heavy plasma turret...

...with independent (but unintentional...) barrel orientations!

The inferno missiles have replaced the trip mines of the original.

The point defense lasers are new additions.

Clear view of the 3 main engines and one of the laser turrets.

Externally mounted ventral engine pod. This has another fusion reactor to complement the twin fusion reactor inside the ship, alongside coolant systems and ventilation...vents...

The plasma torpedo launcher.

Just had to throw a shot of the water dispenser in.

End notes:
Well, that's it for this version of the Britannic Darkstar. This is the 3rd version, and undoubtedly the most impressive. A far cry from the original, but still retaining the feel of the original as well. It's been built for about a month and a half now (I think), so it's about time I posted it, really. Anyway, comment, rate, or do whatever, just know that it's all appreciated...the commenting and the rating, that is..

Nice work , indeed. Every room has its purpose , their arrangement is also logical. Maybe you can try to add another etage to make corridor to connect each room. Cannons can be made of similiar design for each other to provide ships with some typical details to make it more rememberable. For more specifical design, look through many creations and try to make list of stylistic object that looks evil , brave, mysterious or sometihing to you , and then use it together to make you creation look like you want it to look. Keep holding on.

Wow, you've been improving by leaps and bounds, Matt. Compared to your first creations, this is immensely better. I'm very impressed with this version, and I think this is one of your best works!

This is quite a cool vessel! And this is really improved compared to the previous version of your Britanic Darkstar! The engine is great and the forward torpedo launcher looks fantastic! Some SNOTs might make it slightly better, since the size is not huge and I'm sure you have enough to cover your moc with studless plates. But the fact doesn't take one smily head off; this deserves 5/5! Great job on this! Keep it up!
