This is my fellowship. This is the most recent version and it has taken years to get to this point. If I may say, I am quite pleased with no matter it's short comings. I have tried to maintain an old fasioned lego feel, using older pieces and refraining from too exquisite detail like they do today. There are exceptions of course to the extent of certain pieces that didn't exist until recently. i.e. Gimli's beard, boromir's torso etc. It's still changing and especially since I see how it has turned out now, I see where I could have done better. None the less I am satisfied wile it lasts and I may yet revise especially when the new Lord of the Rings legos are released. (if you ask me even they might need some revision) However, I give you the Fellowship of the Ring!
About this creation

Frodo. He hasn't changed much through the years. His face is the main thing that changed. I would like for him to have better hair, but oh well. I was astonished to find this ring piece in 'the castle of morcia' set. It was almost meant to be. And isn't his bomber coat neat?

Gandalf. He's pretty much perfect I might say. Though his hat isn't grey, the book does describe it as blue. However not bright blue, but I have my excuse at least.

Aragon. He is definitely my favorite character. So it goes without saying that I put my best by making him look great! I was extatic when I acquired the dark forest torso. I bought exclusively for him.

Legolas. I must say he is quite near perfection also. The hair seems to be the one thing everyone hates. I realize he is blonde, but I don't prefer ruining my legos, thus rendering them incompadible with other combinations. I also prefer the qui-gon hair and until the day they make a decent looking blonde hair that looks like him, this is it.

Gimli. I often am not sure wether he is good or not. I think he looks like him but then sometimes I think he looks like a common dwarf. None the less Here he is in all his dwarf attire!

Boromir. He does look kindof messy. His shirt is the right color scheme however a bit ragged. His face was also a bit of a mistake. None the less you get the idea.

Sam. He's cahnged alot. Mainly in his shirt. I don't know if I'm happy with this one. Although the color scheme is right. I also thik his hair color fits him although not shaggy it works well.

Merry & Pippin. These two always have the tendency to be the left-overs. Pippin has always been the hardest to find a good torso for. Its a western vest with a ribbon tie. it represents him well, but not too accurate. Merry on the other hand is also got the coloring, but the deep 'V' is a bit out of character. Also, I do think their faces represent their personalities well.

Quoting Mark Murphy I hope you take this kindly:...Hope you don't mind criticism.
Thanks! ^_^ Yours is good too. However I pursued the color scheme rather than the actual detail. For me, the only way to acheive perfect detail is to have the actual lotr theme. (Which will revolutionize my fellowship once they do.) Thanks for the tips and happy building to you! ;D

Nice! I love the classic LEGO pieces you used for them!

I hope you take this kindly: Fordo should have bigger, and darker hair, also his torso should be more Hobbit-like, Gandalf needs a cape, and if you could put a robed Grey torso that would be better. Aragorn's arms should be grey, and his torso should be the Anakin episode 3. The Face and hair are not preferable but they do the job. Legolas should have grey arms, dark grey legs, and a brown torso, He should be blonde, I realize the whole problem with his hair, but I suggest the elf hair for him. Also he is holding his knife backwards. Gimli's face should not have black hair or beard on it, his beard should be orange, and his arms should be dark red. Boromir is overall good, I like the torso and leg choice, but his hair should be blonder and his face should have a blonde beard and should be more serious. Also his shield should be smaller. Sam's face should be a bit happier, his hair should be orange, try the orange combed hair, his torso should be a Hobbit-like one. Merry's face should be the normal smile, instead but the one you have is not terrible, his hair should be orange, and his torso should be more Hobbit-like. Pippin's torso should be the one pictured here: and his face should be more happy, also his hair should be larger. Overall, not a bad fellowship, I think all the capes are too bright, you should use dark green or brown. Also, you should have more differences in their swords Boromir's sword is the same size as the Hobbits. Hope you don't mind criticism.
