MOCK_A - My Millennium Falcon
This Moc is the second version of a old one made in 2007. Some new pieces appeared from recent sets of 2012 LEGO which gave me the opportunity to improve my design of this iconic Star Wars ship. You can download the LDD.lxf file if you want to built one for your own.
About this creation

A top global view which helps to appreciate the proportion of this Moc where I tried to give his flying saucer aspect like the original one is, by many inclined polygons made of plate-wedges.

The radar is made of two mechanical arms #30377 linking two modified tile and plate #2432 and #48336. This solution was accepted by LDD but in the reality, the parts are a little disconnected.

A back view of Millennium Falcon, which is the most impressive perspective, I think, viewed in the movies when the ship starts to pass into light speed.

It's a close view of the cockpit which was a tricky piece of assemblages. In the interstice between the two corridors, I placed a 2x3 plate-wedge #43723 clicked in the modified tile #2555 in order to preserve the fuselage design. And at last, you can see the opened ramp by where Star Wars heroes acces into the ship.

The bottom view of the Millennium Falcon, where we can see the four main landing gears with grey panel (#4865) as opened trap doors. The bottom is symmetric to the top except for the storage extension near the engines.

First the part that you looking for is a Hose, referenced #73590c02a on Bricklink. The lateral hoses are connected by the both ends, inside the structure but the other ones are not, the ends are just trapped.

Cool MOC. Quick questions if you can spare some time: * What part number are the tubes ? * Do they always connect on both ends? Or do you simply connect one end and hide the other one in the structure? Thanks!

Yes, I did it on purpose. Yellow bricks don't exist, Red ones are doubles from the main built here to help you, Green ones have connection not recognized by LDD. And at last, Orange are partial but connectable.

Hi there. I noticed that the file in Lego Digital Designer has a partially "exploded" view. In other words, parts of the model are pulled away from the main assembly. This happens in three places. I wonder if this is on purpose to show some aspect of the assembly, or is it an error? I can send along a screenshot of what I am seeing if need be. Thanks! --Mike
