A micro Arwing model. It's not meant to be any one in particular but is influenced by them all and just designed to get the feel of the Arwing class.
About this creation
While it's true that a round nose is about as far away from most of the Arwing designs as you can get, I found it conveyed the pointy-ness of it better than my angular attempts, particularly at this scale so I stuck with it.
This is the rear undercarriage and shows how I stuck it all together. The blue bit in the middle is only because I didn't have a grey one handy. The exhaust wasn't originally this enclosed but the nacelle and wing fell off even easier when they were just attached to the centre brick.
My lack of inverted blue roof tiles meant a complete redesign of the nacelle area and while I'm not completely happy with it, for the time I've spent on it, it will do.
I tried various methods of getting the wings aligned properly (tilting the 'stud plane' for the nacelles created a problem) but was very happy with my eventual solution.
It has to be said that this model is ridiculously fragile and I had several disagreements with gravity during the build.
I'm also very pleased with the little stand and on the whole, I think I've done what I set out to do, which is to see how detailed an Arwing I can build at this scale.
