Just a few more additions to this bike, all cosmetic this time rather than functional.
About this creation
Main photo above shows the twin front brake calipers made of lift arms and plates seen in some of my other original and modified motorcycles.
Close up of right hand side showing exhaust, rear brake torque arm and rider's right side foot peg. Exhaust is mounted at a single point, but with the addition of some more plates above the rear suspension pivot it cannot move from its position. As luck or skill would have it, exhaust barely clears the right hand shock absorber and lower shock mounting throughout the suspension travel with about a fraction of a millimetre to spare. No room for any pneumatic piping this time though without snagging the gears, even with the rear suspension pivot having been moved backwards from the front sprocket to provide a more realistic final drive chain.
Otherwise I have tried not to alter the appearance of this particular bike too much; in my opinion the 8422 was (and remains) the best-looking of all of the official Technic motorcycles.
Your talking about "Lola TruckDriver". I also would like to see a modification of 857 made by you, but first I would like to see "4 cylinder faired motorcycle Mk II" with the side car! :D About this 8422 i really like the brake parts! ;)

Very nice mods. I'd love to see what you'd do with an 857...
So would I, unfortunately I don't have one to modify! I did however see a very good modified 857 that had been modified to include suspension on all three wheels but can't remember where I saw it, might have been on MOCpages.
