I enjoyed the map-like view of the Earth. Like everyone else, I noticed Texas missing but missed the joke. Pretty clever, actually.~H |

Amazing united states, could work for forced perspective as well! |

I love the artistic license you've used in the depiction of the earth. The photograph, as well, is very nicely composed. Great work! |

Ha! Texas got flooded. Those states around it must have build dikes on their borders to divert disaster. Hilarious! cool entry! |

Very creative:P |

If this were Forced Pers, the score would have been higher. Your score = 2 |

Thanks to all the judges for the scores. Not bad for the first build of the contest :) I feel that some of you have missed the joke, that texas is missing, but oh well... I should've made it more clear in the text. |
|
I would've opted for a realistic approach to the planet's surface. But this approach adds a strange and enjoyable element to the creation (not to mention provides really attractive colors to the imagery.) I also like the juxtapostion of the astronaut to the viewers far right - nice. Score of 3. |
|
This isn't forced perspective? Very creative background, though when you're depicting a historical moment it's probably best to stick with reality. Score= 3 |
|
The force perspective is good - but the only thing that saved your 2 - in my opinion too simple and not what I exspected - Score = 2 |

/* Mr. Flare, I absolutely love your creation here. The colored states below, and the astronaut's expression are very well done. One minor nitpic, I wish Texas were a different color than blue, it kinda blends with the water too much. I agree with Chris, that the central concept was slightly under-played but a very well done entry none-the-less. Your Score: a stunning 3 */
As to a blue Texas, I think you missed the implied joke... it looks like Houston is having a problem... (Houston is in Texas, for those who have never lived in the states) ;) Thanks! |

While the forced perspective aspect of it was really nice (Seriously, if you would have enetered this in the FP category it woulda' gotten an easy 4), I think the main focus of the moc was slightly underdone (which kept you from the four). This one gets you a very SOLID 3 points. ~ Chris.
Thanks Chris, to be honest I never thought of entering this in the Forced Perspective category... oh well! Thanks! |

Well well, one picture...a thousand words... doesn't work very well huh :P
some more pictures would have satisfied more viewers I think.
Anyway, if the background is supposed to be the world it looks a lot like a map (the colors :P )
Good luck, be sure to add your sarcastic criticism to my entries later :P |

That's pretty cool! Took me a while to figure it out (only because I don't instantly recognise the shape of the States) but once I realised it I went back and looked again and wow, that's really well made! |
