Unless you've been living under a large mass of rock for the past year, the sequel to Valve's smash hit "Portal" was released, with the original name of "Portal 2"
Featuring more tests, more killer turrets, and the ever phsyco GLaDOS, this game was my source of inspiration for my Vignetted entry.
I will be including links and videos to source material that I worked from.
Judges, I'd highly appreciate it if you followed these links to get an idea of the in-game situations and atmosphere, as I tried to convey these through my build.
The game primarily comprises a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and simple objects using "the handheld portal device", a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes. The player-character, Chell, is challenged by an artificial intelligence named GLaDOS (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System) to complete each puzzle in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center using the portal gun with the promise of receiving cake when all the puzzles are completed. The game's unique physics allow momentum to be retained through portals, requiring creative use of portals to maneuver through the test chambers.

The Test Subject, in this instance he is known as "John REDACTED".

Well, I wasn't supposed to be doing the Vignetted category, but I had this fun idea of doing Portal 2 and my teammates allowed me to steal it.
This took about a day and a half to complete, working on and off on it over the weekend.
I had this entirely built, and my teammates decided that I should make a modification that most likely would force me to tear into the build and reduce all the work I had done to pieces. Fortunately, we came to a compromise and I didn't have to do so much damage. Only a little.
With one of our teammates pulling out of the MOCathalon due to personal reasons, the pressure is now on for us to do our best.
Great build overall....thanks for providing the details, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. The game is brilliant, and so is your MOC. Wheatley and the companion cube are my personal favorites. Score= 5

Before I post my score, I have some questions for you. Why is there so much vegetation on the ground? What level was the vegetation covered ground based off of? The examples you list here have more water than vegetation on the ground. Why is your portal (I'm assuming that's your portal?) bley?
Well, firstly let me say, thank you for showing interest and granting me the opportunity to explain a few of the details!
The vegetation is more of an artistic license instead of an actual part of the game.
This whole test chamber isn't specifically based off of any particular chamber in the game, so I basically compiled a bunch of images and built what I thought an ideal test chamber would be. So of course, grass growing up and around the floor panels was one detail that I thought might be cool.
As for the Bley ring, that isn't a portal. That's the ending doorway, unfortunately making a scale ending doorway is pretty near impossible. I've got one last screenshot for you to get a feeling of what I was trying to achieve.
Thanks for your time!
I think I may have played this game a bit too much, and am therefore slightly picky with the build. Before I post my score, I have some questions for you.
