Rise of the Legend 10: The Kashyyyk Affair (Part 2)
About this creation
Kashyyyk, roughly one week after the events in Rise of the Legend 9.

Harash Soru climbed his way up to the very top of one of the massive trees that covered Kashyyyk. Finding a strong branch he sat himslef down and rested his head against the tree's massive trunk.
He'd been running from Irvin Mard for a week now. The Dark Jedi had blocked all of his communications and now Hara was completely lost.

Hara reached into his tattered robe and pulled out a small holocron, activating the ancient device.

Harash Soru: "Begin log, day seven, the diary of Padawan Harash Soru."

The small device beeped to show it was ready.

Harash Soru: "I've been running from Mard for a week now. I've got no contact with anyone, I can't even find my Masters in the Force now. All I can feel is a dark wave of hatred that is my attacker."

Harash Soru: "I understand that I cannot defeat Mard, each time we have met he has managed to overwhelm me. For all the skills that I have learned in my years as a student I do not have the power to stop him."

Harash Soru: "Mard has developed a strong hatred for me. I see now that the attack on Kashyyyk was a trap set down to catch me. Skraak is here as well as some others, a Trandoshan hunter of some kind and I think Mard has taken an Apprentice. Either way the attack is merely a lure. Once I am dead, they will leave Kashyyyk and the Wookies."

Harash Soru: "I thought this mission was part of my tests to become a Jedi Knight, I thought I had learnt everything I could. I realize now that you can never learn everything, and that I am far from ready to be Knighted. Mind you, I don't suppose I will ever be Knighted."

Hara looked at the moon and sighed.

Harash Soru: "I see now that the Force has pathed a destiny for us all now. Whilst we will all eventually meet it it is ultimately us who decide how we get there. I believe my destiny lies with Mard. I must die at his hands or defeat him. I do not know if anyone will ever see this, but if they do. Tell my Masters that I am sorry and that I finally understand what they have been trying to teach me."

Hara smiled.

Harash Soru: "Oh, and I'm keeping the beard. It helps me think."

Hara ended the log and returned the holocron to his robe before setlling down to sleep.

Day eight.

Harash Soru: "Mard! I am here, come and get me!"

Irvin Mard: "So the little Padawan finally gives in to his fate."
Harash Soru: "This ends now! Whatever happens you will leave this place and the Wookies."
Irvin Mard: "Of course, my only wish is to see you dead!"

Irvin and Hara charged each other, their blades showering sparks as they clashed together.

Irvin swung at Hara's legs but the young Padawan jumped over the Dark Jedi's blade.

The charged again, roaring battle cries as they clashed their blades once more.

Suddenly, Irvin unleashed a weak bolt of lightning. Despite the weakness of the attack it caught Hara off guard and sent his blade flying from his hand.

Irvin chuckled as he stood over Hara.

Irvin Mard: "This ends, now."

In his mind Hara suddnely felt a burst of Light Side energy, he suddenly felt his strength return to him and he realized that this was not his destiny.
Hara stared up at Irvin.

Harash Soru: "No."

The young Padawan reached out with his hands and used the Force to hurl Mard backwards.

Irvin Mard: "You'll pay for that Soru. Your death will be painful now."

Suddenly the tree's parted and two figures walked out to stand either side of Hara.

Michel Kringe: "It's over Mard. Your men have fled, the Wookies have risen up."
Yaddle: "At an end your trap is."
Harash Soru: "You cannot win Mard."

Irvin Mard scowled.

Irvin Mard: "This is not the last you will see of me."

The Dark Jedi turned and disappeared into the forest.

Yaddle: "Padawan! Looking everywhere for you we have been."
Michel Kringe: "Are you hurt Hara?"
Harash Soru: "I am fine Masters. Just very tired."

Yaddle smiled.

Yaddle: "Done well you have Hara, proud of you I am."
Michel Kringe: "Come, lets get you home."

The Jedi Temple, shortly after the Jedi's return from Kashyyyk.

The Council watched in silence as the holocron Hara had created during his flight from Mard played out before them all. As the log ended they all remained silent for a moment.

Yoda: "Hmm, ready the boy is."

I think it's cool how you use people's sig figs in the story... Sort of interesting how you do that. I hope I don't die. Skraak is my official star wars sig fig. D: I haven't posted my version of him yet though.

Quoting General Jake Very Nice!! Have you found some of that blue paint I recomended?
No but I think I'm just going to use the darker stuff. I like the shades that I can use and I can always make some lighter blue by using some white paint
