Well I will try to post W.I.P. pictures every week or so. I do not get much build time with school, family, TV, Minecraft, and whatever else takes up time in my life.
About this creation
******I apologize for the HORRIBLE pictures. Its late, I'm rushing, I wanted to get this up by tonight as a WIP post. Please forgive me for the pictures. I know they are horrible, I wasn't trying to take good pictures. Please
look beyond the quality of pictures and only look at the creation and its reference pictures.******
The Main Picture is of the Locomotive, or what is the Locomotive so far. It has been a busy week, I haven't gotten much work done on the Loco itself. And I am going to change the boiler soon. You will see that soon.
The rear of the Loco. The IR receiver is in the cab. *****I am not trying to make this a realistic train. I am making a Lego version of the 1959 Lionel General train set, which I am proud to own.***** The real model has no cab, there is a motor in it. So I decided it would be the best place for the receiver.
The main coach so far. It not much but I am not making an interior, so I can put whatever I want in it as a frame. I am going to put a translucent film layer behind the windows like in the real set as seen in the next picture.
The real car. I am going to try to make it as close to this as possible.
The Mail Car......I know...it doesn't look like any mail car...YET!!! But it soon will!!!!
The real car. Not much to say here.
Sheriff and Outlaw Operating Car
This car was not in the original set. It was an add-on made later. I want to make this as well as it goes with the theme.
This is an operating car as seen in the next pictures. The two characters bob up and down "dodging each others gunfire" as it goes along the track. I want to try to make the Lego version operate as the real one does.
Wish Me Luck!
Here you can see the two characters..sorta.
The Horse Car
Well you could call it a horse car. It DOES have horses which I have 5 out of 6 of. But I could not find them in the MANY boxes of trains and accessories which inhabit my grandmothers basement. I want to have Lego horses in here.
Well Thanks For Reading and Looking and I hope this doesn't take long to do.
TILL NEXT POST and hopefully better pictures.
