In response to some fellow builders, here’s a presentation of my armies, and a little background story to complete them.
About this creation
After millenniums of fighting, all the armies of the planet put aside their conflicts and formed an alliance to vanquish a demi-god and protect the world.
The kingdoms of the central continent were the first to establish peace and commerce treaties and further developed special units to patrol the coalition.
Afterwards, the leaders went on an epic journey to recruit other realms around the globe to defeat a divine being who is threatening to destroy the world.
CENTRAL CONTINENT
The Lyon Kingdom
The Lyon army is led by Will of Lyon, King of Kings. He rules all provinces from the capital of the Kingdom, Kalm City.
King Leo governs the Southern Province with the help of his unique sword, Aquablade, with water elemental powers.
The Northern Province is ruled by King Leonidas, familiar in the dark arts and specialized in Necromancy.
The Drake Country
The Dragon Kingdom is the most important nation in the Drake Country.
Brutus of Dragon is the supreme ruler, wielding the Golden Axe of Thunders, with lightning elemental powers.
The Drake Realm is a faction of the kingdom that chose not to follow some of the newer policies, like allying with other countries.
Kratos is the ruler of this region, wielding the Axe of Pain.
The Vampire Realm
The high mountains of the Vampire Realm are ruled by the Nightlord Radu, wielder of Eclisis, Sword of Darkness, with dark elemental powers.
Humans and undead march side-to-side under the banner of the Vampire.
The Silver Kingdom
Once known as Kingdom of the Silver Cross, the Silver Kingdom is but a shadow of its long past glory. The royal tradition has given place to wizardry and witchcraft, and the Dark has overshadowed the Light with the summoning of demons.
Ultrecht rules the nation with his sword Ragnarok, Blade of Thousand Screams.
The Holy Forest
The bluemages live in the Holy Forest in harmony with Nature. Merlin the Wise is the Arch-Mage, while the High-Priestess is Molly the Healer, wielding the staff Final Haven, with Light elemental powers.
The Spider Realm
One of the most ancient bastions of the central continent is the Spider Realm, home of dark wizards and witches.
Vlad the dark mage is the ruler, with his staff Arak-Nul, staff of spiders.
The Lost Woods
The Lost Woods is the domain of the thieves, ruled by Carol the Masterthief. She alone, with her unique bow Nightsong, united under the same banner several thief guilds, including the Wolves and the Forestmen.
EASTERN CONTINENT
Izumo Empire
The supreme ruler Emperor Mikhal governs the Izumo nation, main faction of the eastern continent.
Wielding the katana Kamikaze, blade of divine wind, with wind elemental powers, he commands the samurais of the north.
The samurais of the south, led by general Akao, refused to obey the blue banner and rebelled under the red banner.
The Wutai Area
Wutai, the country of ninja, is home to some of the most powerful warriors of the world.
Politically, all the masters of the Dojo schools report to the Empire of Izumo and send the best of the best to protect the Emperor.
The champion is Itachi, wielder of the katana Akaboshi, sword of red star, with fire elemental powers.
NORTHERN CONTINENT
The Barbarians’ Nation
The icy northern continent was once in constant turmoil over leadership issues.
Eventually it came to unite under the banner of Eirik, wielder of Blizaga, axe of blizzards, with ice elemental powers.
SOUTHERN CONTINENT
Preshja capital
The arid southern continent is home to several countries, some lost in time and distance. The most cosmopolitan city is Preshja, capital of the coastal country.
City of the Dead
Deep into the desert is the Lost City of the Dead.
It’s a millenary civilization where the Scorpion King rules controlling powerful ancient beasts.
LOST ARCHIPELAGO
The Tribe
The tribe lives far away from castles and kings, and ignores the existence of the civilized world. The people live one with Nature, praying to the Earth God for their blessed life of plenty.
The ruler is Yuma, wielder of the spear Quake, with earth elemental powers.
This story evolved over the years since I was a child, suffering many influences from narratives I read or watch.
