The construction of a super stardestroyer... Entry 1
About this creation
Since I was a child I always dreamed of building a stardestroyer. The first ones looked like crap ( I was just 7 or 8 years old, so what do you expect :p)
There was also the factor of not having enough parts to make it look ace.
After many years I collected lots of parts and finally after many years the construction began.
At first I wasn't sure what kind of stardestroyer to build. But then i saw the UCS super stardestroyer and I was in love. (though I don't own one)
It looked very nice and detailed. I also liked the aspect of it being a model/playset.
The only downside for me of this ship was that despite being the longest lego set ever, it still looked too small!
So I started with my own project. The goal with this one is to build a larger scale version of the ship with still lots of details. I also going to build the ventral city in sections that can be removed. Underneat this I also going to build a bridge scene (that can actually hold the minigures even when the sections of the ventral city are in place.
Underneat another section I want to put Darth Vaders TIE Advanced starfighter (Legoset 8017)
As with most large scale projects here on the pages, I also going to post pics so you all can see how the progress goes on this one.
Here are some pics of some parts I already build: Hope you enjoy. Please rate and comment. Suggestions on how to improve some parts are also welcome!

wow, thats gonna be awesome
Well it would have been if it didn't crash on my floor like it did. I didnt rebuild this project since a wasn't motivated to do so. Maybe someday I might start another big project like this. I've just finished my custom UCS falcon and have already another project on the way. I might post some WIP pictures of it soon ;)
AMAZING, pity that you do not continue to build!
would have been a mega executor!!
but I know the problem-
I've also own built about 4 years ago an 1.2 m long executor,
and was several times on the spin :-)

This is looking excellent. Have you hung this one up since then, or are you still building on it?
No since the superstructure crashed on to the floor while I was putting the hull on, I never started over on this project. I started on the Errant Venture after this one, but I still fancy a really big Star Destroyer.
