A large detached house and gardens using 11500 bricks and featuring 13 rooms, a double-garage, and a swimming pool.
About this creation
LEGO House & Gardens. 11500 Bricks.
I always wanted to build a big house as a child but never had enough bits. So here it is, in digital form. Built with LDraw (MLCad) and rendered with POV-Ray. All parts used are standard LEGO parts attached in the correct fashion, albeit possibly in a colour that part was never produced in. The only exception is the water effect in the swimming pool and pond, which are MLCad quadrilateral primitives.

Seem you put a lot of effort into this. Nice work!
Thanks. Effort? Yeah that's me resting on the sunlounger in the first pic :)
Seriously though, one advantage of digital lego is that cut and paste key - whole walls can go up in next to no time. The time consuming part was the roof. And the renders. And the animation.

Wow - if this was a set, I don't know how much it'd cost....
At double the number of bits of lego's two largest sets (Taj Mahal and Millennium Falcon) I'd say "a lot" - I couldn't even afford the 2846 sloping roof bricks! You could build a small town with those :p
