This is the Springfield '03 sniper rifle. It doesn't work well, but it does work if you're lucky.
About this creation
Some info about the gun:
113 studs long, and 19.5 studs from the technic barrel (that's 106 cm, 1.16 yard, and that's 9 cm to short to have a full-size replica).
5 studs wide.
The real springfield '03 was invented in 1903 by the Springfield Armory in the U.S.A. It was mostly used during WWI and WWII, as a sniper rifle. The Springfield is a bolt action rifle.
The gun could contain 5 rounds, from 5 separate bullets or from a 5-clip stipper.
Now some pictures:
The gun, no sniper scope attached.
The fake bullets, I first wanted to fire these bullets, but it didn't work, so I decided to make other bullets (2 flat 1x6 tiles on top of each other).
The scope, it doesn't work, so it's only to make the gun look nice.
The scope mount, this is what you but on top of the gun, and than you put the scope on it.
The scope itself.
The bolt, ready to be fired.
Pulling the bolt back will make you able to reload/to push the bolt forward and fire another bullet.
A (blue, I ran out of yellow tiles :S) bullet, loaded in the gun. If you push the bolt forward now, the bullet will get under pressure by a rond thing, and if you pull the trigger, the bullet should go forward (but that doesn't work always).
Loading a bullet:
1. Pull the bolt backwards.
2. Push the bolt part above the bullet chamber away with a bullet, and press the bullet downwards into the chamber.
3. Push the bolt forward, and you're ready to fire!
The rear part of the iron sight.
The barrel/front part of the iron sight.
Aiming through the iron sights, normally you focus on the front piece, but the camera couldn't do that, so it's hard to see the front iron sight part here.
The stock (not very good, but I ran out of flat tiles).
The trigger guard, and the trigger.
That's it; tell me what you think!
No instructions for this one, because it's very bad...
