So... Many of you guys probably already expected this one, after seeing the hearse. Several have even hinted at it. I wasn´t actually going to build this, but in the end the temptation was too big. But I´ll probably leave it out of the Mega-project though... (Seeing that the Ghostbusters appeared a cuarter of a century later than what I want to portray in the diorama)
I thought this one was going to be an easy build, having the hearse to work from, but as it turned out, a lot of details had to be changed. The windscreen is half a stud further forward, and the back window was changed entirely, using a elegantly stepped profiling of the cabin (passing from 6-5-4 studs width inspired from Misterzumbi´s Ecto.) Alas it doesnt really show because of the ladder and tubes connecting to the roof...
I wouldn´t call these guys unelss I was absolutly terribly desperate. -And even then I´m not quite sure... ;-)

Wow, that's so cool! Excellent shaping and amazing details on the roof top! Great job! :-)) Maybe you could make an Ambulance based on the Caddy for your big project...
You know, this is really a subject that i think a lot about; To keep it. To change it into an ambulance (which would just make me long for the Ghostbusters version anyway) -or change it into an elegant white convertible for a famous Rock´n´Roll star. (Seeing as a pink version is not going to happen...)
What to doż?
if I where you, Id leave it in the dio, as a touch of humour, but, I d also consider changing it into an ambulance, depending on the seriousness of the dio,it s sure to get attention and admiration, because it s beautiful and loved by many people.
The curved slope for the rear door, between the tail fins...so simple and yet absolutely perfect shape. You keep knocking these cars out again and again, and I never see any slippage in quality what so ever. Are you building at the rate you post, or do you build over a long period and then post them in bursts? As always, astounding work. Attack!
I like it

Henrik, of all your dabblings, hats off on this one, it strikes a chord with me as i love the ghost busters! Very cool build, and awesomely accurate for the scale. Chris

Thanks man! :-) -I actually post at the speed I build. Many of the good ideas you see are outright ...borrowed... from other builders.
Most of these cars take just one or two days to build. The 2CV took just a couple of hours.
There will now be a break in the building&posting for a week or two because of work. :-(
