Based on Ernest Hemingway's famous 1951 novel about an old Cuban fisherman's battle with an 18 foot marlin. Here, Santiago returns to his village with nothing but the skeleton of his fish after numerous shark attacks. Enjoy!
About this creation
The marlin skeleton was especially fun to build. The base is modeled after the water in the impressive Last March of the Ents diorama, and is made up of 400 trans light blue and 400 trans clear 1x1 studs.

Thanks for stopping by, and come see it in person at Brickworld 2012!
I literally just listened to this entire book last night (audiobook). Good timing! Heh, Max and I have both been considering doing something with this in Lego. Didn't know you were in the bunch too! Nice work!
