The Dragunov SVD(Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova) was more of a Designated Marksman Rifle than a sniper. This Russian sniper rifle was manufactured in 1964 by the manufacturer Izhevsk. My lego version ha a working trigger, Working iron sight, a scope that you can look through, a working magazine release, and a working charging handle. It took me only two days to build, and by the time I had finished the fore grip, I was running out of good brown pieces. This is my biggest gun so far, being about 49 inches in length. I made it one inch too long, seeing as the real Dragunov is 48 1/4 inches in length.
Here it is with a bipod. This bipod also helped hold the gun while I was taking pictures of it.
The rear portion of the gun.
The front portion of the gun.
The stock. I like my cheek rest.
Here's the grip and safety. The handle is relatively comfortable, seeing as how I made it, it's very blocky. The safety works, notice now it's in the "firing" position.
Now it's on safe.
Here's the charging handle and magazine. The charging handle works using rubber bands, and the magazine release works.
The charging handle pulled back.
The magazine. On the right side of the magazine, where it becomes one stud longer, is a two stud piece that also helps it stay in place.
The fore grip. This was tricky to build because I didn't have very many good brown pieces.
Here's the front portion of the barrel.
And here's the rest of the barrel.
The flash suppressor. I really like this. it's very sturdy too.
The rear sight. I also really like this.
ADS through the scope. I know it doesn't look like you can see through it very well, but that's just because of the camera angle. You have the same field of view through this scope as you do on my ACOG.
Here it is next to a 4 foot ruler. Only about one inch too long.
hey great dragunov! i built one of these a few years back, but it didn't get that far! anyways i just uploaded a new gun, it would be kool if you could check it out! -I mentioned you at the bottom of the photos

very nice gun!!! 5/5 where do you get all your Lego pieces?
Thank you. Most of my LEGOs are from sets that I've taken apart(mostly Star Wars ones). I've been collecting LEGOs for about six years now. I think I'm going to be ordering some pieces from bricklink soon.

AH-it's about time someone does this with 100% brown furniture. Everyone else on this site made it with either red furniture (like mine),gun too small,or all black. Congratuations, sir!
Thanks. Yeah, I've noticed the lack of brown dragunovs too.

If I could, I would give this 10/5. I am stunned by the superb design! The scope is really cool, because most scopes I've seen for snipers on MOCpages were covered up. Excellent job!
Thanks. Yeah, I was suprised at how many people make their scopes covered up like that. Those engine looking pieces are perfect for scopes. I plan on making instructions for this scope and some of my other attachments.
