Before there even was a Godwin's Hollow - there was a Lockridge Farms. The Lockridges have always been a cornerstone of the city and remain so today. The farm is in negotiations with a large agriculture conglomerate and is expected to be growing very soon. We can already see some of the progress now.
Side Note: The Lego Farm set literally was the first 'official' set my daughter and I started with. What started as a fun little set in the middle of the dinning room table has grown into what is Godwin's Hollow today - in just over two years - so Lockridge Farms quite literally is the cornerstone of our city.
About this creation
Here's a wide shot of the renovations to the farm house and some of the new construction. There's a new pole barn next to the house for the trailers and a second is planned for the end of the lot.
As it so happens the farm is located right next to the Green Grocer and supplies the shop with most of their fresh fruits and vegies. What doesn't go the the grocery store ends up at the Farmer's Market on the front end of the property.
Behind the Farmer's Market you can just make out the pig pen and a couple goats wandering around. Eventually a new, but classic looking, red barn will be erected in the corner of the property.
While the renovations are underway we're thinking about adding more of a slopped awning to the farm house and connecting the cart port to the house turning it into more of a formal garage. We could use the extra square footage to extend the master bedroom upstairs as well.
