Thanks Xeno! I always appreciate feedback and critique. Here's a bit of my thought process ...I gave that some thought at the beginning, but decided not to use tiles for a few reasons. I find tiles distracting, studs have a way of blending together where tiles create patterns of their own. I would have had to use tons of plates underneath the tiles to prevent any relief issues. And most importantly, they don't make the range of tiles I would have needed in DARK BLUE :) I only used black on the frame, not the picture itself. Although it is hard to pick up (especially in a photo) I made the call to use dark blue to make it appear more 'ink like'. It's pretty subtle, but I think it made all the difference.
