Gipswijk June 2012
I missed May, so here is the June update of Gipswijk progress.
About this creation
The tram line did get a curve, allowing an extension into Gipswijk New Town, which will be renamed when I think of something better, suggestions welcome. The main line crosses a girder bridge and head into the dark recesses of the loft.

St Natalia's Station has had another slight remodel, allowing posters to be stuck on the rear wall. This doesn't seem to have stopped the Slytherine students releasing a large spider to the concern of the more muggled passengers.

This is the once grand Royal Stables, I think it should be given a bit of work, it's on the to do list.

I'm not sure this well toned surfer was expecting such a sizable empire presence upon his return to the relative safety of the beach.

Cleopatra's on the corner is still to receive it's top floor and roof but the other buildings on this block have been given a thorough working over.

Looking up the town from somewhere in the docks, it must have changed but I can't recall how.

This is right at the bottom of the town, again taken from somewhere above the docks. Lots of trains on view, it looks like the shunter may well have derailed.

The middle block of the town, now the church tower has been raised it's difficult to get all of it in frame.

There is now a third high level station in Gipswijk adapted from the current model on offer in the shops. This district is rather new, I think you can probably tell. It needs and will, eventually get the work it needs.

This is down in the dockside, I'm not entirely sure if the x-wing was removed from a ship or landed there of it's own accord. I'd ask the culprit but he's asleep and I doubt his mother would appreciate me waking him. The gantry crane is pretty run of the mill and familiar to many. My old red wheel employing Mak locomotive lurks, awaiting its next duty.

These four buildings were created to give frontage to a canal, which will be better represented when I get some more slim blue bases. The shops beneath are mainly purveyors of food.

The hospital has a reasonably equipped inside. There's an operating theatre at the top, a ward beneath and a waiting area to the left. The bottom floor is really awaiting development.

This corner shop/building got a fair bit of attention and this area of town is starting to look good.

The Post Office now has it's own, small, platform at Centraal Station, allowing for use by the as yet unbuilt parcels train.

A street view of the canal houses.

I need a wide angle lens because the town is getting too big to capture in a single frame.

God also doesn't know what's going on at the beach.

The Buffel rounds the little lady of liberty in this almost atmospheric shot.

The tuc-tuc can fit pretty much anywhere.

An on the street view of the Multipla taxi, going about its daily routine.

Nice city, it seems big, but could go with a little cleanup. Some more realistic building would be great, it seems possible as some already are. However, you have achieved a nice "city" feel.

Some really nice details here and there, and a nice layout! Great to see more Dutch cities! Some words of advice though: Try to use less bright colours to make the city a bit more realistic, like you did with the central station. It's better to spend more time on the buildings, than to build as many as you can. Greets, Jelle
