Tabimir was once an elementless Matoran, or Ka-Matoran. He was chosen to be part of a special OoMN experimental program to create Toa or other beings with control over periodic elements. The experiment was successful, giving Tabimir control over iodine. Since the elemental prototyping had to be done before Tabimir could become a Toa, he was a I-Matoran for a short time, before becoming an I-Toa. Seeing that their work was complete, the OoMN erased all the memories he had of the past few months and the experiment.
The new Toa of Iodine was given a Kanohi Rode and a large sword, fitting of his new status. Over his years as a Matoran and Toa, Tabimir was involved with robotics and similar technology; after becoming a Toa he experimented with designs that used iodine as fuel. Thus exists the Iodine Arsenal.
Soon after becoming a Toa, Tabimir was sent to an OoMN field base to prepare for a mission. But before he could be deployed, the field base was attacked by some local Makuta. Tabimir and the other Order members held them off the best they could, but one by one they fell, until only one remained. He stood as the sole survivor, sword shattered, armor damaged, spirit broken. Nobody is quite sure what happened after that as the only witness, Tabimir himself, refuses to tell. All that we know for certain is that due in part to recently having his memory wiped, Tabimir was very susceptible to suggestion, and eventually ended up as an assistant to one of the Makuta (one wearing a very powerful Komau).
When the Makuta died decades later, Tabimir took his place, as he had long since earned the rank. At one point an unknown Toa destroyed the majority of the Iodine Arsenal; Tabimir dropped off the map, but not before he brutally killed the Toa. The dark Toa of Iodine's whereabouts are currently unknown.
And now the real function of the Iodine Arsenal...
As you can see, the main purpose of the Iodine Arsenal is to be transformed and split into armor and weapons for Tabimir to wear. The full arsenal includes two microturrets, one miniwalker, a Slender-class assassin robot, and a stationary missile drone.
When attached to Tabimir they become (respectively) chest armor and pneumatics, wrist guns and shin guards, powerpack and shoulder guns, and finally, chestplate and secondary shoulder guns.
What's with the " + + " in the title, you ask? I have no idea. The first additions were made with the title "Tabimir +" and then I built more additions, so I added another + to the name. Simple, really.
Partially inspired by Tabaris CarpeNocte. It wasn't until after I build Tabimir's head that I realized the similarities to that of his creation Jabberwock. So there's that.
Yes, there's a secret link. Think like Nassus. ;)
As previously stated, this is for the Periodic Bionicle Contest 2012. Glad I made it to round 4, and I hope I can get on to round 5.

This is totally and utterly awesome, I'm wondering is that hero factory paw, which is pink, is it a real piece or did you paint it. And if it is real what set does it come in.
RAAAAAGE. It's red, not pink, my camera used to not work which made it look that way. Sorry. :P

Oh look, a comment I didn't reply to in July. Huh.

Thanks man! I actually ended up making it to the final round, but then the contest went dormant... hopefully we can reboot the finals soon, I want to claim a fair victory. ;)

Sorry I commented so late, but I had (again) no connection to the internet. The whole idea of making the servant attachable to the Toa is great! It's also very easy to see who is the "master", the Toa looks very strong and his color sheme is very cool! Good luck in the contest!

Very nice! And with the HL... THAT'S ALL WE GET TO SEE?! LOL just kidding. Can't wait for the new one. (BTW, since you're a hell-being in my story, do you mind if I call Pirai as the Nether Wolf, instead of Iron Wolf?)

No, like how do you make a page that you can;t get to without that link?
Oh. I upload a picture, put the URL into the formula I showed you, and I then erase the HTML code for the picture. That way you can only access it if A) you're the person who hid it or B) you find the link.

I love this round of the PBC because it forces people to work with purple! Great job!
Well I wouldn't say forced in this case, because this was actually a really fun build. :D

What I do is to make a link, and then within the link's HTML vectors, change the font color to the same as the rest of the text. Then it is indistinguishable from surrounding text, and leads to a hidden page. ;)
Excellent build, and a really cool theme song too! The whole thing reminds me a bit of some of the modular mechs on the 'pages, but with an excellent, purple, Bionicle flair. Well done!
Wow man, very cool toa, and an even cooler set of armor you made for him there! I must admit to be very proud that Jabberwock actually inspired you for a little bit there xD

epic,I was reloading my homepage until it showed you had made something, anyway, you are quite possibly the best biomocer that has ever lived.
Glad you think so! I'm flattered. I know there are better out there though. :)

Indeed there is. ;)

Amazing! Tabimir's designs and story are great (I expect nothing less from you)! :). I love the little turret and the fact that they combine is icing on the cake! I love Tabimir's stature and the spread of purple is amazing! All in all this is a great and original take on the category. Are there hidden links? Also where did you get those purple hero factory pieces? :)
Thanks for all the kind words! The purple armor is from the Ultrabuild Joker set. :)
