About this creation
Røverkollen telecommunications center consists of a 84-meter high concrete tower with a 29 meter high lattice tower for cellular antennas on top. In the upper part of the tower is built 7 cantilevered platforms for fixed radio antennas.
The tower was completed in 1979; telecommunication installations 1980 and 1981.
Telecommunications Center works as a backup for and complement to the plant in Tryvannstårnet and is a major hub in the telephone network between Norway and abroad, and between Oslo and the rest of the country. Røverkollen telecommunications center is base for different mobile phone systems.
