Inspired by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society motor yacht Steve Irwin
About this creation
The Steve is 27" long, 25" tall, and 7.5" at the widest point.

Forward view.

Looking down from the mast onto the small boat deck.

The small boat cradles (boats in action?!), between the superstructure & the bow.

The Skull & Not-Quite-Bones features on Sea Shepherd vessels (minus the Not-Quite-Bones).

The bridge & bridge observation deck.

Bridge interior. It's cramped.

Crew on the bridge deck. I think that's Paul in the center.

Hatch detail. The hatch is only for show - aside from the Bridge & Chart Room, there's no interior.

Helicopter landing pad.

UNDER the helicopter landing pad: aviation fuel. BOOOM!!!!

Paul & Sea Shepherd crew assembled on the helicopter landing pad.

Aft view. I neglected to include a rudder - next time?

From the side! The helicopter at the back is from a Lego set, although I shortened it.

This ship has a very lego-like style, kind of cartoonish, in a way. But what's happening in the Antarctic isn't cartoonish; it's real whales being slaughtered. Thanks for posting this awesome creation, of an awesome fleet.

Hey this is great, I just recently started watching all the Whale Wars episodes on netflix and love the show! You did real good in making the Steve Irwin, I only have a bit of constructive criticism, and that has to do with the scale of the model. I feel it could be longer and more accurately proportioned to the real one. However, it is highly detailed and overall resembles the real thing very much, so still 5 stars! I am seriously considering making the Ady Gil (RIP :( ) or the Gojira. Should be a fun build!

I modeled the superstructure in dark gray so that it would stand out from the black hull, which is the same reason the deck is light grey plating. The shields represent the flags the Sea Shepherds paint to represent ships they've rammed.
