Starfleet Olympic Class NCC 58928 Star Trek TNG: All Good Things...
About this creation
The USS Pasteur made one appearance throughout Star Trek, in the last TNG episode, "All Good Things..." At first, i thought it was a modified Daedalus-Class ship, but soon I realized it was a new class altogether, however it's roots in the Daedalus-Class are quite evident. The Pasteur was a medical frigate. Lightly armed and not cloaked, the Pasteur was just not cut out for battle scenarios. The spherical hull design is the most space-efficient for a starship, but it also limits the speed of such a ship to warp 15 (source: "Star Trek Encyclopedia, Expanded Edition").

Fore 1/2 view. This angle shows the detailing on the top of the sphere and engines (see the manhole cover for the bridge? LOL).

3/4 rear shot showing off the nacelles and star-drive section.

A sphere is the best design, internally because there aren't any steep angles anywhere on a sphere. But when it comes to warp, the bulkiness of a sphere limits the speed of Olympic-Class vessels because their star-drive section has to extend so low down so the deflector dish could be unblocked. Putting the deflector on the front of the sphere would solve this problewm and increase speed, but it would also violate the rules that Gene Roddenberry laid out when the original Enterprise was designed.

Another 3/4 front view, zoomed out a bit to capture the ship at a steeper degree.

Side shot of the Pasteur, showing how far the star-drive section has to extend below the main sphere for the deflector dish to be unimpeded.

Top view, no real reason I took this picture other than that I always do.

real nice ship mate but as far as i know the deflector dish was on the sphere if you look at the lover hemisphere of it you see a parting where there is something that resembles a deflector dish but anyway great piece of work

Nice job. You really capture the sphere part of the ship and it brings ships to a whole other level.

I always disliked this ship because of it's spherical shape, but nice job.

Fantastic rendition of the USS Pasteur. You managed to capture the shape really well which is an accomplishment given how small the model is. Excellent job!
