The roof is semi-transparent. I know that is not exactly prototypical, but works out really nice. It could have happened in 1959, yes it could!
With a minimum of difficulty the roof can be removed;
I wanted to show teh highly detailed kitchen and counter, but itīs really difficult. You should see a frying-pan and a coffee-machine. (among many other things)
Two cupboards and the refridgerator actually opens.
I ran out of space, but the use of panels almost yielded another stud of width...
The semi-transparent roof allows for a nice interior lighting effect;
I havent decided on the NAME yet. Suggestions welcome!
Brilliant! To me the architecture of these types of buildings are about as exciting as looking at the side of an autocamper but you have still done an excellent and well detailed presentation of it here :-) The interior is freakishly well done! The salt & pepper shaker, the jukebox, the soft ice machine, the register.. All epic and well done ideas! the furniture and floor is very nice too - as are the outside surroundings.
Awesome restaurant, my favorite type too, what other restaurant serves pancakes 3 meals a day? Very good for such a small space, even compared to one twice the size this is amazing actually. I love it how the thing really feels alive, there is food on the shelves, people are walking around, really adds to the MOC. I might have to borrow your booth idea if I ever build a Diner (which I'm sure I will), since it is much better then the ones I have come up with. Great MOC!
Wow, that's so cool, so 50s and with so many details! My favourite detail is the jukebox. Great job! :-)) Why not call it "Dex's Diner" just like in Star Wars Ep. II? ;-)) Or how about "Mel's Drive-In" like in American Graffiti?
Impressive! The coffee maker is brilliant, and the red/dark red pattern along the exterior is cleverly done, I've never seen that technique before. Then continuing the SNOT to allow for a row of grills was truly masterful. Great work!
This is lovely Henrik, as usual ;-) Love the exterior, but it's the lovely interior details that made my eyes light up and also this Diner means we're in for another fantastic City scene from you, I cannot wait to see it complete. Your last massive project really sticks in my mind.
