Gliatreh (BCBS - July)
About this creation
These vivid creatures are hardly able to stop moving. They're a small pest race moving from planet to planet in search for prey and other consumable materials. Individually they are harmless, like any other wild animal, but the large traveling masses cause dangerous stampedes and starvation on locations they land on.

Physically they first appear like any other bipedal reptilian. However their legs are inverted, which however works for speed and what first looks like a tail is a separate being on it's own.

The creature is actually two living in symbiosis. It is unknown how this fusion occured, but the 'tail' possesses both two arms, an eye and a long beak, which however is unable to eat anything. A neural cord connects the two bodies' brains, which causes some mishmash in sending orders to the body.

The lower half is mostly in control of the body, running around and ramming its horn to kill its prey. However it does not possess any teeth nor it can cut any chunks of meat with its tentacle arms that are hardened by the tips. This is when the top half comes to play, using its arms to rip pieces of meat the lower half can swallow.

The tail of this creature is very strong, allowing the top half to hold the prey pierced by its beak and in its own time rip the meat to eat. Once finished and hungry again, the top half gives messages to the body to start moving to find new prey, which the lower half might resist partially, still having the urge to move, but not necessarily hunt.

Moving constantly this creature sleeps rarely still, but instead slumbers on the move while the top half tries its best to keep the body moving, sometimes unsuccesful. The top half sleeps in turn when the lower half is traveling. Both are awake during hunts to widen their sight.

Well, this is my 4-hour-before-the-deadline entry to this month's BCBS, kind of a close call. Yup, it's 3am and I'm sleepy, couldn't do this any other time today as I was a guest at a wedding.

So, I was aiming for a more Cameron G.-esque style in this creation, aiming for a more filled and detailed structure, with a hint of simplicity. Atleast the body and the lower head are something I'm proud of. I first had kind of wild ideas for this contest, but they somehow slipped away while building and this came out. It's not as alien as I originally planned, but works either way, the bio adds to the whole.

Now, you guys sure won't believe this. Some of you might remember that I got a new camera back in winter won by my dad in a lottery. Well guess what, he won another one! :D And it's way better than the one before. Dat HD! Me gusta! The camera's quite brilliant, a Canon IXUS 240 HS Full HD camera. Thank you Lord! This comes to good use =) (I actually prayed for one during the spring, who knew it'd come true?)

Anyway, hope ya likey this moc and gimme some feedback. I sure hope this late night time isn't wasted for the BCBS challenge.

PS. I recently started writing a story based on my Elemental Universe. Still very low in content for now. If anyone's interested, go check it here. Any feedback could motivate to keep more chapters coming.

Thanks for watching!

Truly an unusual Concept piece, m8. I like that you took the time to think through the body structures, and what their biologic function would be (Etymology). Nicely done!

Cool work on it, it's definitely something new, two creatures in one! Also nice work on the feet, you used those Matoran torsos very well. Good luck in the contest!

Yeah, I saw the Cameron G influence. But this is your own brand of spectacular! Well done! Absolutely beautiful. I would say good luck, but you will most likely win. (again ;)
