I apologize for building in a rainbow color scheme but I don't have enough pieces not to. If you look past the color, you can see all of the detail that I included in this boat. I meant this boat to be a yacht like boat. I included a kitchen, bathroom, sitting area, a fishing boat, and a barbeque, amongst other things.
Here are different views of the outside of the boat.
Here is the first deck that included the kitchen area, storage for food and other supplies, and the bathroom.
Here are pictures of the second deck of the boat which included a sitting area, a computer, and stairs down to the first deck.
Here are pictures of the third deck which included the captain's area, a sitting area, and the fishing boat.
This is awesome! I love how got so many details into that size creation! Don't worry, after so many years of collecting, you will get a bulk of one color. I made a pirate ship, i will post it soon, come check it out if you have the time!
(cont.) Also, if you don't have enough pieces for a project, I'd recommend to build it in a different scale or build something you have enough pieces for. If you really feel the need to build in rainbow mode, then don't. Organize the colors in some way, whether by striping them, putting a different color in each section of the boat, or making designs or patterns with the colors on the side of the boat. These simple things can go a long way to make your MOC look better and to migrate out of rainbow mode. Do you have any creator/designer sets? If so, a fun type of project to make is a set alternative (an MOC built with just one set).
Well, looking aside from the colors it is quite detailed. But the rainbow aspect of it takes away from the build. Do you sort your pieces? If not, you should sort them by color. I used to build in rainbow mode before I began sorting my pieces, but I soon stopped. Also, do you really have 18000 pieces? That seems like more than I have, and definately enough to not build rainbow MOCs. The build still is good though, but the colors detract from it. I think if you sort your pieces you may find that you have more pieces than you thought. (3/5)
This is a wonderful build. I love the amount of detail that you put into this moc. The kitchen is one of my favorite parts on the ship not to mention the upper deck. I like your style of building, you pack as much detail into every nook and cranny. Keep up the good work and never stop building! Great yacht and happy building!
Wow. You fit so much detail into one little boat. Three floors and that wonderful grill design <3. I can't tell you the number of times I tried to make a grill minifig size, and I failed miserably every time. But you didn't! Well done on everything here.
It's always disappointing when a builder has great potential, but does not have the needed supplies to fulfill their idea. My advice is to just keep collecting as well as stock up on some pieces through Bricklink. Keep at it though, as you have talent.
