This is the Time Machine made out of a 19th century train for the movie Back To the Future III. If you have not seen this train you can take a close look at it in this video clip. Despite the fact that the overhauled time machine is only shown during the very last 3 minutes of the movie, through the years it has developed into an iconic symbol of this incredible trilogy and a "must" for BTTF collectors.

Hi, I was so excited when I saw this build. I've seen the movie train in real life and I so badly want to build it now. I see you have removed the build/parts list file. Is there any way I can get the proper file to be able to buy the pieces from Lego and build it? I'm happy to sign a waiver to say I won't steal your idea etc :) Thanks Mat :)

That's a shame I was really excited to see a really cool version of the train open to the public but I can 100 percent understand where you are coming from have had the same happen to me.

Yes, sorry about that, when the file was up, someone used it to make his own version of this train and posted it in LEGO Ideas as his own. Being a licensed theme, I could not claim plagiarism, so I decided not to share my LDD files anymore. I could not "delete" the file so I replaced it with what you saw. I hope you understand.

I tried to use the LDD file but it did not come up with the train but rather some technic parts forming a triangle so is something wrong with the file?

Really beautifully done! The best BTTF model I've seen. I really hope you get to 10,000. I would love to get it and I'm not even a Lego train person. Folks, support this model on Lego Ideas!

I really like the render for this one. It sets the mood for the piece perfectly. I'd love to own one!

I am having problems getting the download. I had it on my old computer but it blew up. I'm trying to get it now but it seems to come up coded or something anyone else having the same? Any ideas?

Very cool model. I'm not a fan of the train in the movie, but I think you've recreated it nicely.
