A few months ago, as I was preparing to move out, I came across two small Lego boxes my parents forgot to give me. I hadn't played with my Lego blocks for over two years. I was rather tired of packing so I decided to get out the two plastic tubs and see what I could make. At first I thought it would be a ship, but soon the ramp turned into a mouth, and I just went with it. Within 2 days I had finished the head... well finished it as best I could without my other tubs.
I moved out taking only three of my Lego creations and Smaug being one of them. I left all my Lego tubs with my parents. But it was irking me that I never got to finish it. So I got on LDD and downloaded the patches (I hadn't updated it since 2009) and remade the head, adding a slight bit more detail.
So here is my latest update, I started making it on LDD a few days ago.
I got a job this week so I hope to eventually buy all the pieces to make it in person, I'm hoping to have the whole dragon made on the program within a few weeks, but I'll be working so it may not be so fast.
The legs are still needing work, but I'll make them look better eventually.
I then began working on the neck. But i realized the pieces i was using wouldn't be able to hold it up in real life. I took apart the neck and remade the most of it. Above you see the first attempt at it.

Nice creation! I like the brick-design, it's hard to make but much better than many Bionicle Smaug designs here on MOCpages!
Thank you, I will admit I am disappointed in quite a few things with it. One major thing was the shape of the head, I imagined it wider and not as long. I doubt i will actually finish this when I had hoped to. My job is making me lazy. I also started working on Edoras (The Golden Hall) from the Two Towers and Return of the King.
