I've been very busy with soccer and other stuff lately so I haven't been able to build much. I did however, find the time to make this for the Lego LOTR contest I saw in the Lego magazine. The challenge was to make a part from one of the three Lord of the Rings movies. For my entry, I made Anarion, one of the three statues of the Kings. I chose this moment out of all the movies, because of the feeling of awe I got from it. The sheer size and scale of him as the band rowed past, really inspired me. I hope I will be able to be more active these coming months :D
i'm in the contest too, but now i've seen this, i realize i have no chance of winning... awesome job, i'm sure you'll get at least in the top ten, one of the few entries i've seen who aren't minifig scale! i just love how you made him so dynamic! 5/5!
Okay, now this is what I call awesome. You captured an essence that is really hard to achieve with Lego, realisim. That statue, looks like it is carved out of stone and not brick built. I think this is now my favorite MOC, great job!
Totally epic! It's great to see another creation from you, LOTR what's more! All of the details of the statue are very impressive. I like your choice of green (as opposed to stereotypical blue) for the water as well. I had to do a few double takes. At first glance I wasn't sure if the boats were micro-scale or mini-fig size.
